The ABCs of Interviewing

The interview is a critical step in landing a job, whether it’s face-to-face or virtual. In this webinar, we’ll walk through the full interview process—from how to prepare beforehand, to making a strong impression during the interview, and following up afterward. Join us to gain practical tips and insights that can help you stand out and succeed. And we’ll also celebrate the one-year anniversary of career webinars! In addition to our presenters, we will have a special guest and prizes.

Cheryl Cumings, Workforce Development Manager, The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.

Cheryl works with Lighthouse employees who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities to facilitate their exploration of career development and growth.

Sara Freeman Smith, Author and Retired Leadership Recruiter

Sara is a seasoned HR professional with more than 25 years of Recruiting leadership experience. She is active in the disability community as a member of Houston Council of the Blind, American Council of the Blind, and its state Texas chapter, VIA (Visually Impaired Advocates).

Melanie Alt Sinohui, Senior Process Engineer, Wells Fargo

Melanie is a dynamic 15-year Verizon Wireless leader who worked her way up from a Customer Service representative in the call center to a technical support supervisor, handling high profile customer and agency issues to her current role as a Process Engineer. Melanie is the President of the Arizona Council of the Blind, Vice-Chair of the ACB Durward K. McDaniel Fund Committee, Secretary and Publications Committee Chair of the Council of Citizens with Low Vision, and a member of the American Council of the Blind Employment Committee.
