3rd Annual Lighthouse Food Truck Rally

On Thursday, June 7^th, we kicked off the summer early and in style at our third annual Lighthouse Food Truck Rally! With the support of the community, we raised over $7,000 for individuals who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities in Spokane!

It was a picture perfect day filled with over 200 members of the community! Guests had an opportunity to tour our facility, purchase raffle tickets for some amazing raffle packages, and enjoy great eats from the Greater Spokane Food Truck Association, locally brewed beer from Black Label Brewing Company, and wine from Barili Cellars. Kids had fun jumping in the bounce castle, and playing accessible games like giant Jenga, and corn hole.

Guests enjoyed a short program featuring Lighthouse’s Director of Public Relations and Development, Greg Szabo and the organizations Employee of the Year Dustin Bradford. Dustin shared with the crowd his story and how the Lighthouse has changed his life, and why the organization is so important for people who are blind and finding employment. We also recognized Greater Spokane Inc. with our Decade of Appreciation award; to thank them for the ten years of support and partnership and allowing the Lighthouse to make a difference in the Greater Spokane Area!

The Lighthouse Food Truck Rally was a great way to continue to celebrate our 10^thAnniversary in Spokane and our 100^thAnniversary as an organization. The community was able to learn about the amazing training opportunities we provide for our employees and the different products we produce. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
