Raymond W. Haman Direct Labor Employee of the Year: Trieva Smith
Our 2023 Raymond W. Haman Direct Labor Employee of the Year is none other than Trieva Smith, a Production Worker II in Defense. Trieva has been an integral part of the Lighthouse family since 2014, showcasing dedication, passion, and excellence in her role. Her remarkable contributions have not gone unnoticed, and we are excited to see her represent The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. at the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) conference in Washington, D.C. Trieva will compete with other direct labor winners from NIB-affiliated agencies for the prestigious Peter J. Salmon National Award.
Trieva’s commitment to excellence serves as an inspiration to us all, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to her for this well-deserved recognition!
Indirect Employee of the Year: Junior Ah Siu
In the indirect category, we are delighted to announce Junior Ah Siu, our AbilityOne BSC Assistant Store Manager, as indirect employee of the year. Junior, who joined the Lighthouse team in 2022, has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Similar to Trieva, Junior will represent The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. at the NIB Conference, where he will compete for the Milton J. Samuelson Career Achievement Award.
Junior’s dedication to his role and the Lighthouse community has made a lasting impact, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved achievement!
