Volunteer Opportunities at the Lighthouse:

Sponsorship Coordinator
Helping secure sponsorships for annual events and other programs. You will work with our philanthropy team to identify and secure sponsorships.
Writer & Storyteller
Do you love hearing people’s stories? Join us as a writing volunteer and hear first hand about how our jobs, programs, and services impact our employees who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities. We are looking for someone with strong writing skills to transform impactful employee interviews into blog posts for our website.
Low Vision Store Assistant
Our Low Vision Clinic located in Seattle and offers services for the Low Vision Community in the Puget Sound region. This includes Low Vision Rehabilitation Services, Lighthouse Low Vision Clinic, and Lighthouse Low Vision Store. We are looking for a volunteer to come onsite and help in the store stockroom.
Photographer
Do you have an eye for photography? Want to get more experience and add to your portfolio? We are looking for photography volunteers who would be interested in attending and capturing Lighthouse events. We do not have equipment available to loan at this time, so please come prepared with your own.
Admin Support
This is an in-person volunteer opportunity at our Spokane location. We are looking for a volunteer who can come in on Wednesdays on a bi-weekly basis to help with various admin office tasks. The volunteer will likely assist with a variety of filing tasks.
