October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Every October, the U.S. Department of Labor observes National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) to recognize the important role people with disabilities play in our workforce and economy. This year’s theme, “Advancing Access and Equity,” calls on all of us to break down obstacles and create opportunities where everyone can succeed.

At The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., this mission is at the heart of everything we do. For over a century, we have been dedicated to creating and sustaining employment for people who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities.
