Support Dog Guides at the Lighthouse

Lighthouse Production Worker Michelle Denzer and her dog guide Sooner
Dog Guides are an invaluable tool for people who are blind to regain their independence and feel empowered to do things that people who are sighted often take for granted, like going to the grocery store or crossing the street.
At The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. we want to remove barriers that exist for people to access these tools. That’s why we have the Tom Kuebler Dog Guide and Employee Support Fund, which provides paid time off for our employees who wish to get a dog guide, to travel to and train with their future companions.
Your gift gives our employees this incredible opportunity, as well as giving the dog a safe place to stay off the machine shop floor – in our secure, on-site kennel.
Will you make a gift today that gives people who are blind, access to this life-changing tool?
Welcome to Spring!
This Spring we invite you to organize your legacy plans, giving yourself and those you love peace of mind. To assist you with this important step, we are sharing a free estate planning tool from our partners at FreeWill. With their secure, private, online platform, you can make or update your will.
As you complete your plans, you’ll be able to:
- Ensure your assets will support those you love
- Make a plan for 401(k)s, IRAs and other non-probate assets with the beneficiary tool
- Name a guardian for children or pets
- Support future generations of people who are blind by Including a planned gift to the Lighthouse
