U.S. Congressman Rick Larsen, from the Washington State 2nd congressional district, visited the Seattle Lighthouse on Monday, September 24th. He met Lighthouse employees from Aerospace, GSA, Communications, and the Contact Center as he walked through our facility. Employees shared their stories of how they came to work at the Lighthouse, as well as the various types of accommodations and supports they use, such as Interpreting Services, Orientation and Mobility training, and the assistive technologies JAWS screen-reading software and refreshable braille displays, all of which guide them to be successful in the work place.
