Those of you who have Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) should join me in working at The Lighthouse for the Blind Inc. in Seattle due to the perfect weather to aid in maximizing your remaining vision! Everyone I know with RP who has usable vision sees best during overcast days. This applies to other visual impairments as well.
Seattle averages 294 cloudy to partly-cloudy days each year according to Wikipedia. However, ideal weather is not the only reason to work in Seattle.
The Lighthouse maintains lucrative contracts with clients that range from aerospace manufacturers to the Federal Government. As a result, our wages are usually higher than the national average.
