We raised over $119,000 for our Employee and Community Services Programs at the Lighthouse’s Future of Opportunities event!

On Saturday, September 21st we welcomed 160 guests to Boeing Future of Flight to celebrate how the community has helped empower individuals who are blind and DeafBlind at the Lighthouse.

During cocktail hour guests had the opportunity to learn about products made by individuals who are blind and DeafBlind, and the Orientation and Mobility program at the Lighthouse. Guests also participated in an exciting blind wine toss game, silent auction, and raffle to support the Lighthouse’s programs and services!

We were honored to have Lieutenant Governor, Cyrus Habib, 2018 Lighthouse Direct Employee of the Year, Paul Ducharme, and Lighthouse President and CEO, Cindy Watson as our speakers for the evening.

During the program, we premiered our employee video featuring CNC Set-Up Specialist, Lauren Schlaeppi. Please take a few minutes to watch and share with your friends and family.

If you were unable to attend, you can still make an impact with a gift today. Your donation will help provide the tools, technology, and training necessary for each employee to be successful in the workplace. At the Lighthouse, we provide opportunities for people to not only work, but also discover themselves and thrive. Our objective is employment, but our mission is empowerment. We would not be able to do this without the support of the community.
