John Dubay
Inland Northwest Lighthouse Advisory Council Member since 2019
John’s initial involvement with the Inland Northwest Lighthouse for the Blind began years ago following an introduction by a mutual friend to Greg Szabo. John is the owner of a business, 100% of whose employees are blind or visually impaired, so the introduction and mutual interests in the employment of people who are blind was a natural fit. After much interaction and engagement with the INL, Greg and Cindy Watson recommended he consider serving as a member of the Advisory Council. He has enjoyed serving and his interactions with everyone ever since. In addition to his position on the Advisory Council, John also serves as the Employer Liaison on the Employment Committee for the National Federation of the Blind and as the Secretary for the Washington State Chapter of Disability: Inclusion Network (IN). When not involved in his business and volunteer work, John enjoys outdoor activities – hiking, biking, etc., and spending time with his five grandchildren.
