Julie Brannon
Julie Brannon has had an extensive career working in the social service and blindness industries. Earning her Bachelors and Master of Social Work at Eastern Washington University, Julie began her career with the Department of Social and Health Services before becoming a rehabilitation teacher at the Department of Services for the Blind. In 2011, Julie came to the Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., where she managed support services for employees, including ESL instruction, financial management workshops and became a certified braille instructor. In 2014 Julie went back to the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind to manage their Orientation & Training Center, where she retired in 2019. Julie recently ended her term serving as President for the Washington Council for the Blind and Chair for the State Rehabilitation Council for the Washington Department of Services for the Blind.
