Stephen Hamilton with his guide dog Sumiko.

We are pleased to welcome our newest Foundation Board Member, Stephen Alexander Hamilton to the Lighthouse community! Stephen is a United States Air Force Veteran, who lost his vision three years ago. While he was receiving Orientation and Mobility training at the VA, he heard about the Lighthouse’s involvement with the U.S. Military and wanted to learn more. All it took was a tour of the facility and volunteering for him to be invested in the Lighthouse’s mission. Stephen is looking forward to representing the blindness community on the Foundation Board with his new guide dog Sumiko.

Join our Board

We are actively recruiting new board members to join our Board of Trustees and Foundation Board. Ideal candidates are committed to our mission and have the time, energy, and passion to help shape the future of the Lighthouse.

Planned Giving

Those making a philanthropic investment via planned gifts to the Lighthouse will be recognized as members of the Lighthouse Legacy Society. Planned gifts ensure The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s Foundation Endowment is able to fund programs and services on a sustainable, long-term basis. Planned gift opportunities are diverse and are customizable based on your portfolio, age, and intent.
