THANK YOU to the 120 Lighthouse employees, friends, family, and community members who attended the 2nd Annual INL Fiesta on June 11th! Your generous support of Inland Northwest Lighthouse (INL) helped raise $13,000 to support increased jobs, independence, and empowerment for people who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities here in Spokane.
We hope everyone enjoyed the many interactive games and activities such as the cactus ring toss, piñatas, bungee trampoline, bounce house, and photo booth.
Congratulations to all of our raffle winners and thank you to all the companies and individuals who donated items to the drawing. Also, this event wouldn’t have been possible without our fabulous volunteers and generous sponsors. Thank you all for making it a grand event!
We’d like to send a big shout out to our employee speaker Tim Paulding for sharing his passion and long-standing commitment to blindness and disability training, education, and rehabilitation. As the Computer and Adaptive Technology Instructor at INL, Tim plays an integral part in furthering our mission and supporting the goals of our employees. He adds, “I am fulfilled by empowering people who are blind to achieve their dreams through greater personal independence.”
Finally, we want to recognize members of the INL Advisory Council and Event Committee for all their time and hard work planning the 2nd Annual INL Fiesta!
If you were unable to attend but would like to take a tour of our newly expanded facility and learn more about the training programs we offer to INL employees, please contact Shawn Dobbs at 509-487-0405 or sdobbs@seattlelh.org.
We hope to see you all again at next year’s event.
