Our Building Opportunities: Inland Northwest Lighthouse Groundbreaking Celebration on May 31st was a great success, raising over $18,000 to support our upcoming facility expansion!  More than 160 community supporters, employees, and event sponsors came out to support Inland Northwest Lighthouse (INL) to enjoy a celebration that included games and activities, a wine and beer garden, and fun for the whole family.

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is grateful to have such a wonderfully supportive community! We would especially like to thank Spokane Mayor David A. Condon, INL Advisory Council Member Joel Crosby and INL Employee Maria Bradford for taking part in the program with me.

Building Opportunities kicked off the exciting development taking place at INL, as we expand our current facility.  We will be adding over 40 thousand square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space with a goal over the next five years of employing between 90 and 100 people who are blind, Deaf-Blind, and blind with other disabilities. If you were unable to attend the event, but would still like to support INL, we invite you to donate now.

Thank you again for helping us create opportunities for independence and self-sufficiency for people who are blind, Deaf-Blind, and blind with other disabilities.
