Paul Ducharme, Machine Operator Aerospace is our 2018 Raymond W. Haman Direct Labor Employee of the Year. Paul has been employed with the Lighthouse since 2008. He will represent the Lighthouse at the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) Symposium in Washington, D.C. in 2019, where he will compete with other direct labor winners from other National Industries for the Blind (NIB) affiliated agencies for the Peter J. Salmon Employee of the Year Award.
Our Employee of the Year for indirect employees is Samantha Porter, Production Lead Aerospace. Samantha joined the Lighthouse team in 2013. She will also represent the Lighthouse at the NIB Symposium, where she will compete for NIB’s Milton J. Samuelson Career Achievement Award for indirect employees.
Elected by their peers, we are so honored that for the first time we will have two DeafBlind employees represent the Lighthouse as our Employees of the Year. You can read more about both employees in our upcoming Annual Report that will be available in March. Congratulations to Paul and Samantha!
