Workplace Giving

Employer Matching program

Many employers across the country will match their employee’s charitable giving. Some match both monetary and volunteer hours. Check with your Human Resources (HR) Department about your company’s process.

Employee Giving Programs

You may be able to make a gift through your employer’s payroll system. Many companies provide opportunities to set up a recurring deduction from your paycheck that can be sent directly to the Lighthouse, providing an immediate, sustainable impact on the lives of people who are blind. Contact your HR department about your company’s process.

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is an employee giving program specifically for federal employees to create a cost-efficient and effective opportunity to improve the quality of life for all through philanthropy. The CFC today is an inclusive workplace giving campaign with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide. Follow the link below to get started today.

Donate Your Car

The Lighthouse has partnered with Charitable Adult Rides & Services (CARS) to be able to accept donations of old cars! Visit CarEasy to learn more or donate your car to the Lighthouse today!

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

Initiate your DAF grant by filling out the form below. This will take you to your DAF’s login page which will be pre-populated for easy completion, complete the form and log out. Once the grant recommendation is made, the review process will be the same as if you had done it directly with your financial institution.

How a DAF Works:

Philanthropists like you open an account and make tax-deductible contributions to a DAF. You then recommend grants from the DAF to the qualified charities of your choice. The DAF sponsor, generally a nonprofit financial institution, handles all the administrative details, and you can remain completely anonymous if you wish. Your DAF will issue a tax receipt with your deposit. Ask your financial institution or advisor for further information.

Some advantages of a DAF:

  • Simplicity—The DAF sponsor handles all recordkeeping, disbursements, and tax receipts.
  • Flexibility—Timing of your tax deduction can be separate from your charitable decision making.
  • Tax efficiency—Contributions are tax-deductible, and any investment growth in the DAF is tax-free. Ask tax advisor about potential additional advantages.
