Roya brings broad research and development, as well as financial industry experience to the Lighthouse. She received her master’s degree from Chatham University and is a first-generation Iranian-American immigrant. In recent years, Roya has volunteered with many non-profit organizations helping to resettle and acclimate Afghan refugees. She first heard of the Lighthouse’s mission from friends and decided to join the Foundation Board.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband, Parsa, and their little rescue terrier-mix, Bilbo.
