DIRECTIONS:

As you enter the park, there are 2 roads you can take. It’s important to take the High Road up the hill to shelter #3

Access Vans: can pull up right at the site and drop you off.

Bus Directions: Bus #39 leaves downtown Seattle on the West side of 3rd and Union (in front of Benaroya Hall) at 10:40AM arriving at Seward Park at 11:16AM. The Seward Park Bus Stop is at the corner of Seward Park Ave. S and S. Juneau St. The Bus Stop is about 4 blocks from the picnic shelter (but uphill).

For easy accessibility, there will be a shuttle car  meeting the #39 bus as it arrives at the Seward Park stop between the hours of 11:00AM and 2:00PM. Also, call Patt Copeland on her cell: (206) 551-0957 for additional pick ups. The shuttle will also make return trips to the bus stop when you are ready to head for home.

We are selling raffle tickets ($1.00 each) to support the picnic. The grand prize is a $200.00 Visa card. You do not need to be at the picnic to win the prizes. We will have several other door prizes going on with the raffle tickets.

The picnic is also free for friends and families.

We are looking for volunteers to assist at the picnic:

  • Cooks for flipping burgers
  • Guides to escort the visually impaired folks to restrooms, bus stop, stroll along Lake Washington, ETC.
  • Help serving food

Please let us know if you are available to assist.

We will be feasting on grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, salad, beans, chips, and dessert.  Bottled water and soft drinks are available.

Participate in games or a big sing-along and make new friends.

Come and join us!
