For over 100 years, The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. has continually provided opportunities for independence and self-sufficiency for people who are blind, DeafBlind, and blind with other disabilities.

Nearly 70 years ago, we began our machine shop operation, having been a continual contractor with The Boeing Company since 1952.

Today, The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is an ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D accredited manufacturer that employs more than 70 machinists who are blind and DeafBlind. A participant in the AbilityOne Program, we are associated with the National Industries for the Blind.

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certified. We are ITAR registered, employing LEAN practices in all of our manufacturing processes. Proven through customer ratings, the Lighthouse consistently delivers high quality, on-time, competitively priced components, assemblies, and services. We utilize the latest systems including CATIA V5 3D Modeling (as well as others), and supply a wide range of products for the aerospace commercial and defense industries.

Our list of customers includes various Federal government organizations such as the Department of Defense, and commercial firms including The Boeing Company, Triumph Composite Systems, Inc., and BAE Systems.
