Employee and Community Services (ECS) + People We Served + Lighthouse Career Development Program

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s Employee and Community Services (ECS) programs support employees who are blind, DeafBlind, or blind with other disabilities in succeeding at work and beyond. ECS removes barriers by providing assistive technology, adaptive equipment, individualized training, and workplace accommodations. It also offers workshops, skill-building, and guidance that foster independence and career growth. By promoting accessibility and professional development, ECS helps employees fulfill their potential and thrive in an inclusive workplace.

Lighthouse Career Development Program

The Lighthouse Career Development Program supports employees who are blind in building confidence and career direction through skill-building and coaching. In 2025, 12 employees participated. Monthly sessions covered teamwork, communication, presentations, conflict resolution, change, workplace culture, LinkedIn, and ADA rights, plus one-on-one coaching, and assistive technology training for immediate job and life applications.
