Lighthouse Low Vision Services Celebrates 5 Years of Serving our Community
Our Low Vision Services Program marked its fifth year providing vital low vision care for the Puget Sound area. As one of the few remaining low vision clinics in the area, the program continues to grow to meet the expanding needs of the community. In fiscal year 2025 the clinic saw 567 patients and provided over 900 hours of service to maximize each person’s remaining vision so they can remain independent. Our on-site Low Vision Store is now open to the public Monday through Thursday, where folks can stop by to get the latest tools and adaptive equipment.
In October, we celebrated the program’s continued success with a reception, where community members and fellow optometrists gathered to hear from Lighthouse leadership, get a VIP tour of the Clinic and Store, and hear about the goals for the program’s future.
